Job summary

Arcus Search is seeking a Platform/Observability Engineer in London to help build and evolve large-scale telemetry platforms. You will enhance Kubernetes observability, design scalable telemetry pipelines, and shape how telemetry is collected and processed across a highly technical engineering environment.

You should have strong experience with OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes and AWS, and be proficient in Go or Python.

Qualifications

Experienced Observability Engineer with background in Platform Engineering, SRE or large-scale distributed systems.
Build and evolve large-scale telemetry platforms; improve Kubernetes observability across a technical environment.
Develop scalable telemetry pipelines using OpenTelemetry collectors, SDKs and exporters.
Strong experience with OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes and AWS; Go or Python.
Familiarity with Datadog, New Relic or Dynatrace, plus Terraform, Helm or ArgoCD.
Background in SRE or platform infrastructure and building observability tooling at scale.

Responsibilities

Build and evolve telemetry platforms at scale and improve platform reliability.
Shape telemetry collection and processing across our engineering environment.
Work with OpenTelemetry collectors, SDKs and exporters to enhance observability tooling.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive scalable telemetry pipelines and tooling.
