Job summary

Arcus Search is seeking a Platform/Observability Engineer in London to help build and evolve large-scale telemetry platforms. You will enhance Kubernetes observability, design scalable telemetry pipelines, and shape how telemetry is collected and processed across a highly technical engineering environment.

You should have strong experience with OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes and AWS, and be proficient in Go or Python.

Qualifications

• Experienced Observability Engineer with background in Platform Engineering, SRE or large-scale distributed systems.
• Build and evolve large-scale telemetry platforms; improve Kubernetes observability across a technical environment.
• Develop scalable telemetry pipelines using OpenTelemetry collectors, SDKs and exporters.
• Strong experience with OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes and AWS; Go or Python.
• Familiarity with Datadog, New Relic or Dynatrace, plus Terraform, Helm or ArgoCD.
• Background in SRE or platform infrastructure and building observability tooling at scale.

Platform/Observability Engineer opportunity - Quantitative Technology - London

• Looking for an experienced Observability Engineer with a strong background in Platform Engineering, SRE or large-scale distributed systems
• You’ll be building and evolving large-scale telemetry platforms, improving Kubernetes observability and shaping how telemetry is collected and processed across a highly technical engineering environment
• The focus is on developing scalable telemetry pipelines, working with OpenTelemetry collectors, SDKs and exporters, and improving platform reliability
• You’ll bring strong experience across OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes and AWS, alongside Go or Python
• Experience with Datadog, New Relic or Dynatrace, as well as Terraform, Helm or ArgoCD, will be highly relevant
• A background in SRE, platform infrastructure or building observability tooling at scale would be particularly attractive
