Job summary

Arcus Search is seeking a Software Engineer to join a highly technical, engineering-led team in Greater London. You will work on a large-scale container platform underpinning critical systems, building core Kubernetes components and developing tools for multi-tenant environments.

You will contribute to scheduling, orchestration, and performance of distributed systems while ensuring reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background.
• Experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python.
• Experience building or working on distributed systems.
• Comfortable working in Linux-based environments.
• Ability to solve complex engineering problems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve core components of a Kubernetes-based platform.
• Develop tooling and services to support large-scale, multi-tenant environments.
• Work on scheduling, orchestration, and performance of distributed systems.
• Contribute to platform reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure and platform teams.
• Write production-quality code and improve engineering standards.
