Job summary

Ocean Red is seeking a hands-on Platform/DevOps engineer to own and evolve Linux infrastructure that underpins critical services. You will automate repetitive tasks, support developers, and drive the move toward container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, and GitOps.

You will operate across on-premise, virtualised and containerised environments, contributing to technical decisions and delivering reliable, scalable infrastructure that accelerates production releases.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux engineering or systems administration experience, ideally with RHEL or CentOS.
• Hands-on automation experience with Ansible, plus Python and/or Bash.
• A solid grasp of core networking: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing and firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve Linux environments across development, test, QA and production.
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks with Ansible, Terraform, Python and Bash.
• Improve build pipelines, CI/CD and the tooling developers use every day.
• Work with development and infrastructure teams to solve practical platform problems.
• Support the rollout and operation of container platforms, including Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Help plan capacity and resilience across the wider estate.
• Write clear documentation that makes systems easier to run and improve.
