Job summary

Cellular Origins is building the automation platform that enables scalable, reliable manufacturing of cell therapies. We seek an exceptional engineering leader to take departmental leadership of Software, Hardware, Robotics and Integration, reporting to the COO and partnering with product, operations and customer delivery.

This is a high-impact role requiring strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and the ability to align diverse specialists around a few priorities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a multidisciplinary engineering department or large teams.
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps for platform engineering.
• Strong background in software, hardware, robotics, and systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Set direction and priorities for the platform engineering function.
• Lead and grow leaders across software, hardware, robotics and integration.
• Drive delivery with realistic plans, visible priorities and risk management.
• Establish and improve engineering standards for complex systems.
• Protect platform coherence, reliability and scalability while enabling fast customer delivery.
• Collaborate with product, operations and customer delivery to align roadmaps.
• Represent engineering in external technical conversations with customers and partners.
