Job summary

Pod Point is seeking a Product Engineering Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract in London to own platform strategy and drive delivery. You will manage vendors, control budgets and take hands-on ownership of platform improvements to realise business value.

You will lead squads, align platforms with business strategy and develop the team while managing change and adoption across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience managing business-critical platforms such as CRM, telephony or similar SaaS/COTS tools.
• Experience negotiating contracts and ensuring service level delivery.
• Experience owning technology budgets, forecasting and cost control.
• Hands-on ability to configure and integrate platforms with bespoke solutions.
• Led agile teams using metrics and practices for continuous improvement.
• Ability to balance short-term needs with long-term platform health.
• Line-manage, develop individuals and build strong teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication under pressure.
• Attention to detail and delivery-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own platform strategy and performance with a clear roadmap of improvements.
• Manage vendors and commercial relationships; act as primary contact.
• Own budgets, forecast usage and identify cost optimisations.
• Deliver hands-on platform improvements and integrations.
• Drive adoption and measure business value of functionality.
• Lead prioritisation and demand management across teams.
• Align platforms with business strategy and goals.
• Lead squads: sprint planning, backlog, blockers, delivery commitments.
• Develop and mentor engineers and admins; build capability.
