Job summary

Trust In SODA in London is seeking a Managing & Lead Platform Engineer to drive a major DevOps transformation for a UK government project, scaling a Kubernetes estate with 400+ pods and 140k nodes. You'll specialise in IaC (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD (GitOps, Github Actions, Jenkins) and Observability (OTel, Dynatrace, Grafana), and provide leadership and line-management across the team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a platform engineer leading DevOps transformations.
• Strong skills in IaC, CI/CD, and observability tooling.
• Experience in managing teams and stakeholder communication.

• Oversee CI/CD pipelines and production reliability.
• Mentor team members and drive performance reviews.

The project aims to completely revolutionise the way the UK Government operates online and will create numerous public benefits including cutting waiting times, vastly improved CX and cost savings in the millions of pounds.

They are now looking for a Managing & Lead Platform Engineer to join their team and help with the ongoing support, optimisation and scaling of this project. Their ideal candidate would be an expert within:

• Observability (OTel, Dynatrace, Grafana)
• Leadership / Line Management
