Pacific Life is hiring a Platform Engineer to maintain, optimise and grow our cloud platform. You’ll lead initiatives across low-level cloud architecture, developer experience and tooling, SRE and cloud security in a high-impact, hands-on role.

You’ll operate large cloud systems, mentor engineers, and drive adoption of scalable patterns while ensuring reliability and fast time-to-production for product teams. This London-based hybrid role requires collaboration across regions and teams.

Formación

• You have deep experience operating Kubernetes workloads at scale and maintaining secure cloud environments.
• You advocate clear, maintainable IaC configurations that are safe to change.
• You balance best practices with practical, user-friendly platform design.

Responsabilidades

• Lead platform initiatives from concept to production with timely delivery.
• Maintain a global, high-availability cloud platform spread across regions with on-call rotation.
• Champion CI/CD, SRE, networking and cloud security practices.
• Collaborate with teams to guide cloud architecture and usage of the platform.
• Mentor engineers to grow design thinking and operational capabilities.
• Research and adopt new tools/patterns to improve developer experience and velocity.
