Job summary

CreatePay is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to build and own the cloud infrastructure for its Payments platform. The role is remote, with Milton Keynes operations in scope for hybrid collaboration as CreatePay scales.

You will own provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and data tooling across AWS services, working directly with Engineering, Security, and delivery partners to ensure a resilient, scalable platform.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years hands-on platform, infrastructure, or DevOps experience (junior to mid-level).
• Comfort with core AWS tooling — IaC, CI/CD, API Gateway, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Able to explain infrastructure decisions in plain terms to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to build, run and own platform reliability and cost-efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provision and harden AWS environments using infrastructure as code.
• Maintain separation across development, staging, and production.
• Own capacity planning and cost management across the AWS estate.
