Job summary

CreatePay is building its AWS-based payments platform and seeks a hands-on Platform Engineer to own infrastructure day to day. This is the first dedicated platform hire, offering a path into platform engineering rather than managing an existing team.

You will harden AWS environments, CI/CD pipelines, and data tooling, partnering with Engineering, Data Engineering, Security, and partners to ensure resilience by design in production.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years hands-on platform, infra or DevOps experience.
• Hands-on AWS with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to explain decisions clearly to engineers and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and harden AWS environments using IaC.
• Maintain separate dev, staging, and production configurations.
• Own capacity planning and cost management across AWS.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for safe, frequent releases.
• Design for high availability, observability, and resilience.
