Job summary

CreatePay Limited is building its Payments Platform on AWS and is hiring a hands-on Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure the platform runs on. This is the first dedicated platform hire, intended to define the discipline and grow with the company as it scales.

You will work closely with Engineering and the Information Security Officer to ensure the platform is resilient by design, observable, and cost-efficient, while enabling rapid, safe delivery of new capabilities for a real, regulated

Qualifications

• 2–5 years hands-on platform, infra or DevOps experience (junior to mid-level).
• Proficient with core AWS infra tooling and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK).
• CI/CD pipelines: built and maintained automated build, test and deployment pipelines.
• Reliability and observability: design for high availability and monitoring.
• Able to explain reasoning clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-starter with initiative to define scope and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and harden AWS environments using infrastructure as code.
• Maintain separation and consistency across development, staging, and production environments.
• Own capacity planning and cost management across the AWS estate.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Engineering and Partners.
• Implement automated testing, deployment, and rollback processes.
• Design and maintain systems for high availability, fault tolerance and observability.
• Act as first responder for infrastructure incidents and lifecycle management.
