Job summary

CreatePay Limited in Milton Keynes is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to own design, build and delivery of a modern payments platform. You will work directly with the CTO as a technical peer, shaping core architecture, challenging thinking, and making decisive calls in a fast-moving fintech environment.

From day one you will define problems, shape solutions and drive end-to-end delivery across distributed systems, data and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering complex systems end-to-end.
• Payments or fintech exposure required.
• Able to work across backend, data, integration, and infra.
• Independent, high accountability with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed systems on AWS using serverless-first principles.
• Own end-to-end delivery across requirements, architecture, and deployment.
• Define scope and priorities with minimal PM dependency.
• Integrate third-party services and build robust API layers.
• Ensure outputs are production-ready and observable from day one.
