Job summary

CreatePay in Milton Keynes offers a remote Software Engineer role where you will own design, build, and delivery of a payments platform. You’ll work closely with the CTO, shape architecture, and move fast in a fintech environment.

The role covers backend, data, integrations, and infrastructure, with opportunities to reduce dependencies on external PMs and to scale the team and platform as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Deep experience delivering complex distributed systems in payments/fintech.
• Ability to define scope and drive architecture with minimal oversight.
• Proven track record building scalable, reliable platforms on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed systems on AWS using serverless-first principles.
• Architect for high availability, fault tolerance, and resilience by default.
• Own end-to-end delivery from requirements to production support.
• Integrate third-party services and build robust API layers.
• Design data pipelines and reporting structures on AWS.
