Job summary

Global Payments Inc. in London is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join our CI/CD Platform Team. You will design, build, and operate scalable cloud-native pipelines and platforms that empower development teams to deliver software rapidly and safely.

You’ll manage GitHub Enterprise Cloud, container platforms with Docker and Amazon EKS, and infrastructure as code with Terraform. Strong scripting (Java, Python, Bash, Go) and Helm packaging are essential, along with Linux administration and

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Platform/DevOps/Cloud Engineer.
• Hands-on GitHub administration (Enterprise Cloud governance, configuration, and enterprise-scale enablement).
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience managing and automating AWS infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with Helm for Kubernetes packaging and deployment.
• Solid Linux fundamentals and operational support skills.
• Proven experience designing, operating, or supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and logging for distributed systems.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform and IaC practices.
• Design, build, and operate containerized platforms using Docker and Amazon EKS.
• Design, build, and manage CI/CD platforms and tooling (GitHub Enterprise Runners, CloudBees Jenkins, Harness).
• Administer and govern the GitHub Enterprise Cloud platform for scalability and security.
• Host and operate enterprise GitHub runners for organization-wide use.
• Provide guidance and enablement to development teams using the central CI/CD platform.
• Promote GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development practices.
• Collaborate in an agile team, participate in code reviews and demos.
• Contribute to project plans, schedules, and documentation.
• Deliver presentations to technical and business stakeholders.
