Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Platform Engineer to deploy applications and software to cloud or on-prem environments across multiple business areas. The role requires willingness to attain an eDV clearance and offers hybrid or site-based working options.

Responsibilities include building and setting up development tools and infrastructure, automating release processes, and ensuring systems are secure against cyber threats while collaborating with other engineers across agile SCRUM teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model.
• Cloud technologies with AWS or Azure.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Experience building and deploying large-scale applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Container platforms and orchestration (ECS, AKS, Kubernetes/Helm, Docker).
• Automation and integration tools like Jenkins or Concourse CI.
• Scripting languages and source control.

Role & Responsibilities

Work as a Platform Engineer, deploying applications and software to cloud or on‑prem environments for our many business areas.

Due to the interesting work we do and the sector this team is working in, we require all candidates to be willing to attain an eDV clearance.

• Building and setting up development tools and infrastructure
• Understand the needs of project stakeholders

Required Experience

• Experience of working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model

• Continuous Integration/Delivery pipelines;
