Job Description

Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is recruiting for Platers to work at our client's site in Derby on a 12-month contract.

• Role title: Plater
• Contract duration: 12 months
• Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella – Inside IR35
• Hours: 37 hours, including Nights, Afters, and Days (overtime available)
• Location: Derby

As part of the Fabrication Team, your key responsibilities will include:

• Manufacturing high-integrity components of various sizes to precise engineering tolerances.
• Using hand tools, torque wrenches, measuring equipment, overhead cranes, and manipulation tools.
• Interpreting manufacturing drawings, customer drawings, and specifications.
• Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training as needed.
• Adhering to HS&E requirements.

Qualifications

Required qualifications and experience include:

• NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication (or equivalent)
• Recognized engineering apprenticeship
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• Effective time and resource management skills
• Flexible attitude to tasks and activities
• Good communication skills

Additional Information

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of Security Check (SC) clearance without caveats. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must be UK nationals or, in MoD-approved cases, dual nationals from non-ITAR countries.
