Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is recruiting for Plater to work at our customer’s site in Derby on a 12-month contract basis.

• Role title: Plater
• Contract duration: 12 months
• Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella – Inside IR35
• Hours: 37 hours, split between nights, afternoons, and days (overtime achievable)
• Location: Derby

As a member of the Fabrication Team, your key responsibilities will include:

• Manufacturing high integrity components of varying sizes to tight engineering tolerances.
• Using all hand tools, torque wrenches, measuring equipment, overhead cranes, and manipulation equipment.
• Interpreting manufacturing drawings, customer drawings, and written specifications.
• Willingness to learn new skills and processes, undertaking training where necessary.
• Being aware of HS&E requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications and experience required for this role:

• NVQ Level 3 - Fabrication (or equivalent)
• Recognized engineering apprenticeship.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Effective time and resource management skills.
• Flexible attitude towards taking on additional tasks and activities when required.
• Good communication skills.

Security clearance

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats. Due to the nature of work and for asset protection, the candidate must be a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national from a non-ITAR country.
