Job summary

The Best Connection Dudley are currently recruiting an experienced Plastic Extrusion Operative with FLT for our client based in Tipton. This is an excellent temporary-to-permanent opportunity with immediate start after interview.

You will operate extrusion machinery, set up lines, perform quality checks and maintain safety and productivity across shifts, with ongoing support from The Best Connection.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance FLT licence is essential.
• Experience operating plastic extrusion equipment is preferred.
• Strong leadership and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and proactive with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor extrusion machinery to meet targets.
• Set up extrusion lines and adjust settings to specifications.
• Carry out quality checks on finished products.
• Identify faults and report production issues promptly.

Job description

The Best Connection Dudley are currently recruiting for an experienced Plastic Excursion Operative with FLT on behalf of our client based in Tipton. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with the potential for a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Key Responsibilities :

• Operate and monitor plastic extrusion machinery to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Set up extrusion lines and adjust machine settings to meet product specifications.
• Carry out quality inspections, measurements, and visual checks on finished products.
• Identify and report any machine faults, defects, or production issues.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
• Operating machinery and supporting machine operators where required
• Monitoring productivity and team performance
• Conducting shift handovers and reporting any issues to management
• Assisting with staff training and development
• Managing stock movements and warehouse activities
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
• Supporting with general warehouse and operational duties as required

Requirements :

• Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (essential)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Machinery operating experience and/or knowledge would be advantageous
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, proactive, and able to lead by example

Benefits :

• Competitive hourly rate of £16.00 - £17.00 per hour
