Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is seeking an FLT Driver/General Operative to join a busy plastic recycling and manufacturing site in Allerton Bywater, Castleford.

The role is mainly production (about 80%) with 20% warehouse/FLT duties, on a 3-shift rotation (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am). Monday to Friday, not fixed shifts, with overtime, full training and temp-to-perm progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, factory or general operative roles.
• Hands-on, physical work experience.
• Some forklift driving experience.
• Valid FLT licence required.
• Ability to work all 3 rotating shifts.
• Reliable and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Feeding materials into recycling machinery.
• Preparing plastic materials for processing.
• Working around shredders, blenders and production equipment.
• Moving and organising materials.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties.
• Using a forklift when required.
• Keeping the work area clean and safe.

You must be able to work all 3 shifts:

• 6am–2pm
• 2pm–10pm
• 10pm–6am

This is not a fixed-shift or days-only role.

We’re looking for people with

• Experience in a physical, hands-on role
• Some previous forklift driving experience
• Valid FLT licence required
• A reliable and safety-conscious approach
• Ability to work all 3 rotating shifts
