Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan College is seeking a Lecturer in Plastering to join our team. The role is 35 hours per week, full-time and permanent, with a salary of £31,410 to £43,440 per annum plus a 4% market supplement.

Responsibilities include teaching, personal tutoring, preparing materials, marking assessments, and contributing to quality processes. The college offers enhanced leave, DBS paid, CPD support, and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

Level 2 or above English/literacy qualification.
Level 2 or above Maths/numeracy qualification.
Level 3 qualification in Plastering.
Recognised full teaching qualification, if the applicant does not possess a full teaching qualification he/she must undertake to successfully complete a level 5 teaching award or equivalent within an agreed timeframe.
Evidence of successful teaching, training or assessing within a related area.
Possess a full understanding of all aspects of the field of plastering qualifications underpinned by relevant industrial experience.
Be able to demonstrate knowledge and practice of effective and inclusive group teaching and learning strategies.

Responsibilities

To carry out formal scheduled teaching.
To act as a personal tutor to a group/s of students.
To prepare learning materials and students’ assignments.
To mark students’ work and examinations, moderation and verification.
To assist and operate as part of a team in the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the programme(s).
To assist in maintaining appropriate programmes, college records and quality system.
