Job summary

Think Recruitment is seeking an experienced Plasterer Multi-Trade Operative to perform responsive repairs in social housing across Basingstoke and surrounding areas. You will plaster, repair plasterboard, and carry out basic carpentry, tiling and decorating to a high standard.

The role requires good communication with tenants, the ability to work independently, and a valid UK driving license. A van and fuel card are provided as part of the package, with a temporary to permanent contract pathway.

Qualifications

• Experience in responsive repairs in social housing.
• Experience in occupied properties.
• Strong plastering skills with basic carpentry/tiling/decorating.
• Good customer service and communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 in Plastering is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs across social housing properties.
• Complete plastering repairs, including patch plastering, skimming and making good to walls and ceilings.
• Undertake plasterboard repairs and replacements, preparing surfaces to achieve a smooth finish.
• Carry out basic carpentry repairs to skirting boards, architraves and other timber fixtures.
• Complete minor tiling and decorating work following repairs.
• Diagnose faults and ensure repairs are completed to a high standard.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Plasterer Multi-Trade Operative – Repairs

Location: Basingstoke and surrounding areas. Salary: £21-£23 per hour (CIS or Umbrella). Benefits: Company van and fuel card included. Contract: Temporary to permanent.

Think Recruitment are working with a leading Contractor covering Basingstoke and the surrounding areas. We are looking for an experienced Plasterer Multi-Trade Operative to complete responsive repairs in occupied social housing properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out responsive repairs across social housing properties.
• Complete plastering repairs, including patch plastering, skimming and making good to walls and ceilings.

• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload.
• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Plastering is Desirable.
• Full UK driving license is essential.
