Job summary

The L&C Refurb Limited is seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team on social housing projects in Birmingham, on behalf of Equans and Birmingham City Council. You will be responsible for applying plaster to interior surfaces, delivering high-quality finishes that meet project specifications and timelines.

The ideal candidate has proven plastering experience, adept with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently or with colleagues across trade disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary before plastering.
• Mixing plaster and other materials to correct consistency using hand tools or power tools.
• Applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces with trowels, hawks, or spatulas.
• Ensuring smooth, even finishes by skillfully using hand tools such as trowels.
• Repairing damaged surfaces by removing old plaster and re-applying.
• Assisting with bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or welding tasks.
• Operating power tools safely and efficiently during plaster work.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to meet health and safety standards.
• Collaborating with other tradespeople to complete projects.
