Job summary

18 Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Plasterer for a permanent role in the social housing repairs and maintenance team. You will deliver patch plastering, room re-skims, and plastering works across occupied and void properties, ensuring quality and safety standards.

You will work independently with own basic trade tools, possess a clean UK driving licence and a DBS check, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining detailed job sheets and records.

Qualifications

• Proven plasterer experience in repairs & maintenance.
• Experience in social housing is desirable.
• Strong plastering techniques & material knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Carry out patch plastering and full-room re-skims within occupied and void properties.
• Repair damaged walls and ceilings after maintenance works.
• Apply bonding, hardwall, finishing plaster and other materials.
• Undertake external rendering repairs where required.
• Carry out damp damage reinstatement works.
• Make good around kitchens, bathrooms, electrical, and plumbing installs.
• Repair cracks, holes and damaged surfaces to a high standard.
• Prepare surfaces prior to plastering works.
• Complete minor decorating touch-ups and making-good works as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to high standard.
• Accurately complete job sheets and maintenance records.
• Deliver excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes.

Are you an experienced Plasterer looking for a secure, long-term opportunity within the social housing sector? We are recruiting for a skilled and reliable plasterer to join a busy repairs and maintenance team delivering responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and void property refurbishment works across social housing properties.

This is a permanent position offering a company van, fuel card, and the opportunity to work for a well-established organisation with a steady workload and excellent job security.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out patch plastering and full-room re-skims within occupied and void properties
• Repair damaged walls and ceilings following maintenance works
• Apply bonding, hardwall, finishing plaster, and other plastering materials
• Undertake rendering repairs to external walls where required
• Carry out damp damage reinstatement works
• Make good around kitchen, bathroom, electrical, and plumbing installations
• Repair cracks, holes, and damaged surfaces to a high standard
• Prepare surfaces prior to plastering works
• Complete minor decorating touch-ups and associated making-good works where required
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
• Accurately complete job sheets and maintenance records
• Deliver excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plasterer within repairs and maintenance
• Experience working within social housing is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of plastering techniques and materials
• Ability to carry out both small reactive repairs and larger refurbishment works
• High attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Must possess own basic trade tools
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Clean DBS check
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
