Job summary

Longacres Garden Centre in Bagshot seeks a friendly Plant Department Assistant to join our team. You will help maintain plant areas, assist customers with plant care, and support order processing and deliveries.

The role requires enthusiasm for plants, good customer service, and the ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced retail environment. 37.5 hours per week with training and career development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of the plant area, including cleaning and quality checks.

• Replenish and merchandise stock with clear pricing and displays.

We are looking for an assistant to help in all areas of our vibrant and thriving Plant Department at our Bagshot Branch. You should have a passion for plants and the enthusiasm to use these qualities to provide excellent service to our customers. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensuring high standards of the plant area are maintained, including sweeping, and checking plant quality.
• Watering in the plant area as directed by manager or supervisor.
• Dealing professionally with enquiries from customers, giving help and advice on plant care and arranging delivery of their plants.
• Processing customer orders, including use of the till system.
• Replenishing and merchandising of stock, ensuring that all products are correctly priced, clearly marked and displayed safely.
