Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK (formerly Hanson UK) seeks a Plant Supervisor for the Bedworth Concrete site. You will lead daily production and distribution, ensure safety compliance, and drive performance while safeguarding assets and coordinating with logistics, commercial, and operations teams.

Ideal candidates bring supervisory experience in manufacturing and a strong HSE mindset; IOSH Managing Safely is preferred. Excellent reporting and people development skills are required.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience within a manufacturing, production, distribution, or industrial environment.
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety and operational best practice.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience managing workloads and coordinating operational activities.
• A continuous improvement mindset with proactive problem solving.
• Good organisational and reporting skills.
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification, or willingness to achieve this with company support.

Responsibilities

• Supervising daily production and distribution activities across the site.
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
• Promoting and maintaining a culture of Zero Harm.
• Supporting operational performance, efficiency, and productivity targets.
• Monitoring inventory levels and maintaining accurate stock control.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to reduce waste and costs.
• Supporting the development and performance of site employees.
• Protecting and maintaining site assets and equipment.
• Producing operational reports and performance updates as required.
• Working closely with colleagues across logistics, supply chain, commercial, and operational teams.
