Description

POSITION SUMMARY : Responsible for the overall day-to-day operation, P&L, leadership, and management of the designated facility. Ensures the facility maintains environmental and regulatory compliance standards and operates in a safe work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Foster a culture that promotes a safe work environment through the development and implementation of safety plans and training; maintain environmental and regulatory compliance standards.
  2. Proactively deliver financial results in line with the operations budget and company goals.
  3. Improve employee relations by building a healthy organization and promoting a culture of respect consistent with company values.
  4. Drive change by challenging the status quo and developing a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  5. Create an operating cadence (rhythm) that utilizes appropriate tools, incorporates clear communication, and ensures accountability for business results.
  6. Drive customer retention and business growth by understanding customer needs and exceeding expectations.
  7. Develop organizational capacity by clearly defining roles and responsibilities, providing feedback, coaching, and development for all staff.
  8. Ensure effective project execution by providing appropriate personnel and equipment resources for efficient performance.
  9. Other tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  1. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  2. Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality.
  3. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  4. Process and systems orientation.
  5. Self-management and prior supervisory and management experience.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of communicating effectively at all levels, including executive management.
  7. Ability to obtain any necessary provincial certifications and licenses.
  8. Maintenance & technical systems experience, including CMMS implementation and execution.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, engineering, or business management preferred.
  2. Experience with increasing management responsibility in industrial services, manufacturing, or engineering industries.
  3. Experience in a profit/loss leadership role.
  4. Experience in employee development.

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to move throughout all plant areas, including catwalks, deck grating, uneven surfaces, and ladders.
  2. Talking, hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, climbing, and walking.
  3. Subject to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
  4. Potential hazards include proximity to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical currents, working on scaffolding and high places, and exposure to high heat or bio-solids.
  5. Ability to work evenings or weekends when responding to emergency call-outs.
  6. Legally able to travel to the USA or other countries as required.
