hireful in the United Kingdom is seeking a Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our anaerobic digestion site in Dalkeith, near Edinburgh. You will lead preventative maintenance, coordinate equipment shutdowns and ensure safe, cost‑effective plant operation.

The role is full‑time, 40 hours weekly with weekend work and a rota for remote monitoring. Applicants should have electrical or mechanical qualifications, PLC knowledge, health and safety awareness, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in planned maintenance systems within a process industry.
• Proactive, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of PLC controls, health and safety, and environmental standards is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Coordinate equipment shutdowns.
