Job summary

Hireful is seeking a Plant Maintenance Engineer for a leading UK anaerobic digestion operator in Dalkeith, Edinburgh, to deliver planned maintenance and optimise plant performance. The role involves coordinating equipment shutdowns and ensuring safe, efficient operations alongside the Site Manager.

As a Plant Maintenance Engineer, you’ll work alongside the Site Manager to deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM), coordinate equipment shutdowns and ensure the plant operates safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.

Location: Dalkeith, Edinburgh, Scotland

Job type: Full Time, permanent, 40 hours per week, weekends and remote monitoring on a rota basis.

Salary: up to £41k per annum dependent on experience + allowance + overtime + bonus

We’re looking for an electrically or mechanically qualified engineer with experience in planned maintenance systems, ideally within a process industry. Knowledge of PLC controls, health and safety, and environmental standards would be advantageous. You’ll be proactive, organised and confident working independently and as part of a team.

A full UK driving licence is essential. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and a call-out rota, including remote monitoring, is also required. Training towards WAMITAB competency standards and a NEBOSH General Certificate can be provided.
