You will be responsible for undertaking essential preventative maintenance tasks within the group to ensure the facility and all plant are maintained effectively in terms of statutory requirements, including health and safety, cost, quality, and delivery, in support of the overall business strategy.

Key Accountabilities - Plant Maintenance Engineer

• Provide strong, professional knowledge and technical ability to manage, monitor, and maintain the existing Effluent Waste Treatment Plant and other plant and equipment required for the needs of the business.
• Offer technical support regarding waste management and quality service to other areas of the business.
• Participate in the on-call Incident Response Team for the site, serving as the point of contact for Plant breakdowns and supporting incidents such as chemical spills and cleanup.
• Manage and control allocated Preventative Maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all statutory and legal maintenance tasks comply with company procedures, policies, business ethical standards, and legal requirements, especially regarding HSE and EA governance.

Skills and knowledge required - Plant Maintenance Engineer

• Minimum of NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years' experience in a facilities maintenance role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with Effluent Waste Treatment Plants or Chemical Wastewater systems.
• Knowledge of and adherence to safe working practices in line with HSE policies, Risk Assessment, and COSHH procedures.
