Job summary

Murphy Plant at Ollerton Depot is seeking a proactive Hire Coordinator to manage the hire of Murphy Plant Equipment and coordinate external hires across the UK. The role involves sourcing internal equipment for projects, liaising with supply chains, and maintaining accurate records while delivering high-quality service.

You will work in a busy depot environment, requiring strong IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and experience with hire desk software such as Syrinx.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Hire Desk or hire coordination role.
• Familiarity with Syrinx or equivalent hire desk software.
• Experience delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Source and coordinate internal plant equipment for projects.
• Procure externally sourced plant and equipment as needed.
• Monitor utilisation and exchange external hires for internal items when available.
• Liaise with external supply chain, depot managers and maintenance teams.
• Maintain accurate paper and computer-based records of hires and invoices.
