Job summary

J Murphy & Sons is seeking a Hire Coordinator to support Murphy Plant at Golborne Plant Depot. You will source internal and externally hired plant, ensure optimal utilisation and deliver best value across UK sites.

The role involves managing hire processes and maintaining accurate records with a focus on service quality. Responsibilities include liaising with external supply chains, depot managers and maintenance teams, delivering equipment nationwide and upholding Murphy values of safety,

Qualifications

Experience in a Hire Desk role is desirable.
Experience using Syrinx is preferred.
Experience in an office environment with customer-facing duties.
Strong telephone communication skills and a clear phone manner.
Good IT skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Source internal plant equipment for all projects or procure externally sourced plant and equipment.
Monitor utilisation and exchange external hires for internal assets where available.
Liaise with external supply chain, maintenance teams and depot managers to ensure Quality, Performance and Delivery.
Manage hire of Murphy Plant Equipment and oversee documentation and invoicing.
Maintain accurate paper and computer-based records and prepare correspondence as needed.
