Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Hire Coordinator to work with Murphy Plant at Ollerton Plane Depot, managing hire of equipment across the UK and six depots. You will source internal and externally sourced plant, ensuring best value, quality and delivery while maintaining robust records and customer communications.

You will liaise with external supply chain, depot managers and maintenance teams to maximise utilisation, deliver on time to customers, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Hire Desk role would be desirable.
• Experience using Syrinx is preferred.
• Previous experience working in an office environment with some customer-facing work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of the right equipment to spec on the required date.
• Procurement of externally sourced plant/equipment with quality/value.
• Maximise utilisation by monitoring and off-hiring external items.
• Liaise with external supply chain and depot managers to ensure quality, performance and delivery.
• Provide high-quality customer service in all communications.
• Maintain accurate records (paper and digital).
• Produce correspondence and presentations to specification.
• Maintain filing systems and financial records.
• Work within established processes and provide feedback on their effectiveness.
