Job summary

Flannery Plant Hire (Oval) Ltd. is seeking a highly organised Hire Controller to coordinate equipment delivery and collection, plan movements, and ensure the right machinery is supplied to sites.

You will liaise with clients to confirm requirements, provide quotations, and work with the Operations team to manage availability and maintenance, while ensuring documentation is accurate. You will maintain records, monitor health and safety compliance, and identify opportunities to improve processes

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within the plant hire industry.
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Knowledge of plant and equipment types, specifications, and health and safety practices within the plant hire industry.
• Proficient in using plant hire software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients' plant hire needs, coordinating delivery and collection.
• Liaise with clients to understand requirements and maintain regular communication.
• Provide accurate and timely quotations.
• Coordinate availability and allocation of plant equipment with the Operations team.
• Ensure delivery notes, safety certificates, and purchase orders are completed accurately.
• Proactively manage and resolve issues during the hire period, ensuring client needs are met.
• Provide regular reports to management on plant hire operations and performance.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and regulations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of plant hire activities and client details.
• Coordinate equipment mobilisation and demobilisation in line with client timelines.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
