Job summary

Straight-Line Group Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Plant Fitter / Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The role focuses on servicing and maintaining plant, machinery, and equipment across construction, agricultural, and commercial vehicle sectors.

In this hands-on position, you will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and ensure all work complies with health and safety standards. A valid driving licence and relevant mechanical qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Plant Fitter or Mechanical role.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Valid driving licence.
• Experience with construction equipment, agricultural machinery, plant or commercial vehicles.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs on plant and machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Identifying faults and carrying out effective repairs.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures.
• Working independently while maintaining high workmanship standards.
