Dutton Recruitment is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function at our manufacturing facility in Dewsbury. You will drive plant reliability and continuous improvement while leading a skilled maintenance team in a fast-paced production environment.

With an immediate start subject to interview, this role offers a challenging opportunity to manage engineering budgets, oversee projects and ensure Health & Safety compliance across site operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering management within manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Experience leading engineering and maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and CI techniques.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing budgets and contractors.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the site's engineering and maintenance team.
• Plan and oversee preventative and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards.
• Manage engineering projects, plant improvements and equipment installations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability and productivity.
• Manage engineering budgets and control maintenance expenditure.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Work closely with Production and Operations teams to maximise manufacturing performance.
• Manage external contractors and engineering service providers.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation, maintenance records and KPIs.
• Support future investment projects and capital expenditure planning.
