Job summary

CV Technical are recruiting an experienced Engineering Manager for a leading manufacturing business in Glossop. You will lead the engineering and maintenance function, driving reliability and minimising downtime across the site.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to manage budgets and projects while working closely with production and senior management. A relevant engineering qualification is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Supervisor or Maintenance Supervisor
• Experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering knowledge
• Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams
• Experience reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability
• A proactive and hands-on approach to engineering and problem solving
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A relevant engineering qualification

Responsibilities

• Leading, managing and developing the engineering team
• Managing planned and reactive maintenance activities
• Driving improvements in machinery reliability and reducing downtime
• Ensuring PPM schedules are completed effectively
• Managing engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Working closely with production and senior management
• Managing contractors, engineering resources and budgets
• Ensuring all engineering activities are completed safely and in line with company standards
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and overall engineering performance
