Job summary

Speedy Hire in Reading is seeking a Plant Engineer to take overall responsibility for inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of plant hire equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with company standards. The role involves daily collaboration with depot engineers, drivers and the hire desk to prioritise repairs.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to test and repair plant equipment to the highest standard, ideally gained within the hire industry or similar
• Flexible approach to working hours

Responsibilities

• Provide overall responsibility for the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of plant hire equipment in the region, ensuring work is safe and complies with Speedy safety standards.
• Work with other engineers, drivers and the hire desk team to prioritise repairs and maintenance.
