Sayjo Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Living Plants Maintenance Technician/ RHS Level2 Installation Trainee to maintain living walls and interior planting displays in prestigious London workspaces. You will travel across London by company vehicle, servicing commercial premises, and you must hold a UK driving licence.

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will manage client requirements in the City of London, maintaining planting schemes to a high standard and ensuring client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• RHS or similar horticulture qualification.
• UK driving licence is required.
• Experience in plant care, horticulture or interior landscaping.
• Knowledge of indoor plant species and care needs.
• Able to work independently and follow a route schedule.
• Role involves regular lifting, travel, and standing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine plant maintenance to a high standard, including watering, pruning, feeding, cleaning, and pest control.
• Monitor plant health and spot early signs of pests, disease, or environmental stress.
• Replace plants that fail to meet visual standards, keeping records.
• Communicate professionally with clients and report issues or recommendations.
• Transport plants, tools, and materials safely between client sites in the company vehicle.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times and report on-site issues.
• Report on-site issues to internal teams to help improve service, planning, and stock management.

Job description

Living Plants Maintenance Technician/ RHS Level2 Installation Trainee required to maintain living walls and interior planting displays in prestigious London workspaces.

Sayjo Recruitment are recruiting for this permanent full-time role on behalf of its client. The role involves extensive travel across London by use of a company vehicle. You will spend time travelling by company van through the M25 corridor and central London to service clients commercial premises, so you need a UK driving licence.

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will manage client requirements across the City of London. As a key client-facing representative, you will maintain planting schemes and living walls to a high standard and help ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine plant maintenance to a high standard, including watering, pruning, feeding, cleaning, and pest control.


• Monitor plant health and spot early signs of pests, disease, or environmental stress.


• Replace plants that fail to meet visual standards, keeping accurate records in line with company guidelines.


• Communicate professionally with clients and report issues or recommendations.


• Transport plants, tools, and materials safely between client sites from Stevenage, Reading, Basingstoke, central London and along the M25 in the company vehicle. Half the travel will be via public transport.


• Follow health and safety procedures at all times, especially in commercial environments.


• Report on-site issues to internal teams to help improve service, planning, and stock management.

Skills & Qualifications

• Horticulture qualification RHS or simular.


• UK driving licence.


• Experience in plant care, horticulture, or interior landscaping, either at college or in a work setting.


• Good knowledge of common indoor plant species and their care needs.


• Able to work independently, manage time well, and follow a route schedule.


• This role involves regular lifting, carrying, travel, long periods of standing, and occasional work at height.


• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a similar plant maintenance or interior landscaping role or work placement at college.
