Job summary

MorePeople in Wisbech is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor with strong plant knowledge to lead the preparation, grading and dispatch of plants in a busy horticultural environment.

You will coordinate the team, check quality and conditions, and ensure orders are accurate and ready to meet customer requirements, with scope to shape the role around your strengths and interests.

This permanent, full-time role offers weekly pay, holiday entitlement and training opportunities in a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Plant knowledge including varieties, quality and handling requirements.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the preparation, grading and dispatch of plants.
• Ensuring plants are checked for quality, size, variety and condition before leaving the nursery.
• Coordinating the movement of plants from growing areas through to dispatch.
• Supporting and coordinating the team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintaining high standards of plant handling to protect quality and freshness.
• Identifying and reporting damaged, diseased or unsuitable plants.
• Helping maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and contribute to other areas of the operation.
