Job summary

Walberton Nursery, part of the Farplants Group, is seeking a Full Time Team Leader to supervise production-related teams in growing and despatch activities. The role focuses on safety, quality, and efficient teamwork within a longstanding horticultural organisation.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership, attention to detail, and organisational skills, preferably with a horticultural or supervisory qualification.

Qualifications

• Cands must have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, as well as team leading and team building capabilities.
• A Horticultural or Team Leading qualification would be preferable.

Responsibilities

• Lead growing-related tasks such as trimming to defined timescales and quality standards.
• Lead despatch lines to select and prepare plants for sale.
• Ensure safety compliance and follow Nursery procedures and risk assessments.
• Uphold batch integrity with auditing requirements.
• Complete paperwork relating to Passfield (horticulture production system).
• Deputise across the business as necessary and liaise with other departments and management.
• Plan, monitor and maintain quality and work rates.
