Job summary

MorePeople is seeking a Plant Area Supervisor in Hertfordshire to lead the plant section with passion for plants and people. The role focuses on driving high standards of presentation and customer service while guiding the team through daily operations.

You will use strong horticultural knowledge to advise customers on plant care, maintain healthy plant displays, and support stock management and rotations within a busy garden centre environment.

Qualifications

• Strong practical plant and horticultural knowledge.
• Experience supervising, leading or supporting a team.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to work day-to-day running of the department.

Are you an experienced horticultural professional with strong plant knowledge and experience leading a team?

We're working with an established independent garden centre looking for a Plant Area Supervisor to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows their plants, enjoys working with people and is ready to take on more responsibility within a busy plant area.

What We're Looking For

• Strong practical plant and horticultural knowledge.
• Previous experience working within a garden centre, nursery or similar horticultural environment.
• Experience supervising, leading or supporting a team.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved in the day-to-day running of the department.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of what makes a successful plant area.
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of the garden centre rota.
