As a Plant Controller, you will be situated in the Uranium Recovery Business Unit within the Wash Plants Facilities, covering the Enriched Decontamination Facility (A26), the Cylinder Wash Facility (A685), and the Nitric Acid Wash Facility within EURRP (A633).

The role will have direct reports and operate on the A06 (ABC) 12.5 non-continuous shift pattern, which attracts an annual shift allowance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform the full range of Plant Controller duties within the relevant operational areas, including acting as the Authorised Duly Appointed Person and Work Safety Control Plan Coordinator.
  2. Ensure operations comply with the plant safety case and Nuclear Site License.
  3. Apply safety rules and procedures, and work to improve safety standards.
  4. Manage and supervise plant operations, and direct work allocation.
  5. Develop, maintain, and improve the Performance Centre and KPIs; lead daily reviews and address variances to target.
  6. Manage shift performance against targets, escalate issues, and resolve problems to ensure quality and delivery in line with customer requirements.
  7. Set and maintain standards, including process confirmation, standard work observations, short interval follow-up, and the PMA process.
  8. Support and implement plant improvements to maximize efficiency.
  9. Develop and coach shift teams to enhance performance and identify candidates for progression.
  10. Assist Plant Management in maintaining and improving compliance with business systems and processes.
  11. Communicate effectively with other supervisors and departments.
  12. Utilize HUP tools/techniques and CAP.
  13. Update plant documentation regularly.
  14. Participate in the SFL Supervisor Development Training.
Qualifications
  1. Completion of the SFL Supervisor Training is preferred.
  2. High standards and expectations in work approach.
  3. Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Capable of working in a controlled environment and under pressure.
  8. Effective use of IT systems.
  9. Ability to build good relationships with stakeholders.
  10. Experience supervising employees.
  11. Proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines.
  12. Willing to work in a controlled area.
