How you will contribute

As an operator at Bournville, you will perform a number of key roles and tasks to ensure that we continue to make products that we are proud to share with our families, in a modern, friendly and inclusive factory environment.

As well as operating the machinery that produces the nations favourite brands, you will be responsible for ensuring we meet all of our food quality standards and you will commit to maintaining a safe working environment for you and your colleagues. What you will bring
  • Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) including understanding safety maps and identifying the different sources of potential stored energy and where and how to isolate them to make equipment safe to be worked on or during cleaning.
  • Behavioural Observation Survey (BOS) and Quality Observation Survey (QOS) where you will log all your safety and quality conversations in order to make Bournville and its products as safe as possible.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and One Point Lessons (OPLs) where you will pass on knowledge and key learnings to other members of your team to ensure best practice is applied consistently.
  • Kaizens, where you will identify areas that are preventing optimal performance and suggest ways to eliminate them.
  • Solvace Tags, where you will highlight issues on your plant and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Daily Management System (DMS) meetings, where you will review top losses on your plant with all key stakeholders from leadership, engineering, process and help to come up with ways to prevent them reoccurring.
