Mondelēz International is seeking a Process Development & Engineering professional to lead design and deployment of RDQ projects across geographies, focusing on delivering the best consumer experience.

You will work with a cross-functional team, run pilot plant trials, generate process specs, and write technical reports. The role is fixed-term until 31 August 2027, based in the UK, with travel to EU sites (~20%).

You work as part of a cross-functional team to lead and deliver the activities required to complete Process Design and Process Deployment for Innovation, Growth and Productivity projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience

How you will contribute

With the support of a manager and technical coaches, you will design and implement projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements and effectively communicate project statuses and risks. As part of that planning process, you will conduct activities to generate the appropriate process information, using modelling, simulations, and pilot plant and plant trials in accordance with good manufacturing practices and HACCP requirements. You will also plan and conduct process development activities including process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning, technical risk assessments and create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications. In this role, you will assist in planning the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies, and manage stakeholders, making recommendations and influencing decisions based on analysis and interpretation of data. You will also create intellectual property to drive competitive advantage.

What you need to know about this position:

The holder of this position will be accountable for the process R&D aspects within the IIM framework for projects covering all platforms, e.g. tablets, seasonals etc. The right person for this role delivers the technical knowledge for the function, develops solutions to problems, whilst ensuring compliance to technical policies & procedures. This will require working in a cross-functional project team working with ISC, marketing, procurement, suppliers, external manufacturers and other RDQ functions.

What extra ingredients you will bring:
  • Initial experience working within an RDQ environment within the food industry, ideally within process development roles. Experience within confectionery or bakery categories is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of RDQ product and process specifications.
  • Good knowledge of chocolate category regarding raw materials, processing, manufacturing and formulation fundamentals is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English is a must, other European languages are an advantage.
Travel requirements:

You will be required to travel to Mondelez's sites within EU (incl. Norway and Switzerland), suppliers and external manufacturers as projects require ~20% of time

Work schedule:

Full-time (36hrs, flexible)
