Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Daventry is seeking a Planning & Training First Line Manager to lead operations, develop training programs and optimise labour planning. You will deliver training, maintain training matrices, and drive continuous improvement while upholding safety and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills within a logistics environment and a proactive, collaborative approach to team development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain operational plans to support customer volumes, priorities and service requirements
• Coordinate and deliver training for new starters, existing colleagues, and FLMs in line with site standards
• Maintain training matrices and ensure compliance with mandatory, customer-specific and MHE training requirements
• Review operational performance and resource requirements to ensure adequate labour planning and skills coverage
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through coaching, development and sharing best practices
• Uphold safety and compliance standards to create a safe workplace
• Foster a collaborative team culture with strong communication, accountability and teamwork

Grade: RCS N grade
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Shifts will be worked between 07:00 and 23:00 - flexibility is essential to meet business needs.

What You'll Do
