Planning Law & Renewables Solicitor/Associate - Glasgow/Edinburgh - Hybrid
Salary: £75k-£80k (DOE) + Excellent Benefits Package
An established City Centre firm is offering an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Planning/Renewables Solicitor/Associate to join their reputable Planning team, based either in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will work alongside two senior members of the Planning Team and collaborate with the wider team on various planning and environmental issues, including onshore wind appeals and s.36 applications.
This role provides direct client contact with major industry players, opportunities for site visits, attendance at planning inquiries, conferences, and other business development events.
The team handles diverse planning and environmental matters related to housing, infrastructure, transport, and retail projects.
The work is engaging and challenging, often involving advising on complex and unusual circumstances. The ability to think creatively, analyze issues quickly, and communicate advice clearly is essential.
You will participate in business development activities, including attending networking events, client pitches, and contributing to tenders, articles, seminars, and profile-raising initiatives.
While planning and litigation experience is preferred, a strong commitment to excellent client service and relationship-building within the renewable energy sector is crucial.
A willingness to learn and support senior team members is also important.
