Job summary

Owen Daniels in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Supply Chain/Planning Manager to lead both Planning and Purchasing within a manufacturing environment. You will own customer demand, production planning, and supplier performance, driving continuous improvement across the entire supply chain.

The role requires strong leadership, deep SIOP knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems to optimise planning, scheduling and inventory. Derby-based with an ASAP start is expected.

Qualifications

• Leadership of planning and purchasing teams in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong experience with SIOP and ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to translate demand into production plans and schedules.
• Excellent supplier management and cost optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Planning and Purchasing teams, align customer demand with production via SIOP.
• Translate demand into achievable production schedules through capacity planning and SIOP.
• Monitor demand changes, produce KPI reports, and partner with manufacturing to meet delivery targets.
• Drive supplier performance, optimise purchasing processes and ERP-based planning.
• Coach the supply chain team, embed lean practices and uphold procedures.
