Job summary

Owen Daniels are supporting an established advanced manufacturing organisation seeking an experienced MPL Manager to lead end-to-end materials execution, production planning, inventory control and site logistics.

Reporting into senior site leadership, the successful candidate will lead a multi-functional team spanning planning, stores, warehousing and logistics, whilst acting as a key stakeholder within the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading materials, planning and logistics in a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Proven track record in production scheduling, inventory optimisation and on-time delivery.
• Experience collaborating with Operations, Quality, Procurement and Customer Service teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead site materials management, planning, warehousing and logistics to support manufacturing operations.
• Translate demand plans into short-term execution strategies to maximise schedule attainment and delivery.
• Own production scheduling, ensuring alignment of capacity, material availability and customer requirements.
• Develop inventory management processes delivering high stock accuracy and working capital performance.
• Drive warehouse and internal logistics, ensuring efficient material flow from receipt to use and shipment.
• Lead shipping/distribution to meet customer commitments with cost-effective freight.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate supply chain risks.
• Escalate issues impacting production continuity and delivery performance.
• Support and enhance SIOP/S&OP processes for clear communication across functions.
• Champion Lean and continuous improvement across materials and logistics.
