Job summary

EMBS Talent is partnering with a Derby-based precision manufacturing business to appoint a Demand Manager who will own the customer demand process and lead a small planning and purchasing team. The role focuses 80% on SIOP planning and 20% on purchasing and supply chain.

You will manage order book accuracy, customer relationships, and supplier performance in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will drive the SIOP cycle, provide clear demand signals to support sales, staffing and capacity

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a demand, planning or supply chain management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience owning or contributing to SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) process.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the customer demand management process and align production plans with customer requirements.
• Manage and develop a small planning and purchasing team (two purchasing specialists and a production controller leader).
• Produce detailed summaries of order book movement and communicate deviations as they arise.
• Build and maintain KPI suite covering sales and arrears trends daily, weekly and monthly.
