Job description

Our client based in Surrey is looking to appoint an experienced Planning Policy Team Leader.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the Planning Policy Team and manage the production, maintenance, and monitoring of the Council’s Local Development Scheme and Local Plan documents.
  2. Ensure all activities are in accordance with statutory procedures and best practices.
  3. Coordinate with the corporate policy direction, other services, and the Council’s plans and programmes.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Significant planning policy experience, with preferably proven line management skills.
  2. Strong policy development knowledge and a thorough understanding of UK planning legislation.
  3. Willingness to undertake lead responsibilities on projects.
  4. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  5. Relevant degree-level qualification (essential) and professional accreditation (ideally).
Additional Information:

This contract initially runs until December 2025. The rate offered will depend on the role. This position is inside IR35.
